The Tortolita Mountain Area is just a few miles North of Tucson, Arizona. It is the least developed of the mountain ranges near Tucson and is becoming a world class destination all by itself. An example is the Accenture Match Play Championships now held in Dove Mountain.

It is roughly bounded by Tangerine Road to the South, Interstate I-10 to the West, Oracle Road Hwy 77 to the East, and Park Link Drive to the North. Of course there is some bleed-over of these loose boundaries. The city of Tortolita was a political entity which incorporated September 2, 1997.

The city no longer exists as the court systems disallowed its incorporation; but make no mistake, it does exist. The people who comprise this unique area are likely to still consider themselves Tortolitan's and not whatever political entity or city they are eventually annexed into. We love our rural lifestyle amid the beautiful canyons, ridges, and bajadas of the Tortolita Mountain Area.
